iPod I miss you!
Many of you may know that next to my love for God, my wife, and my kids, I have a love and affection for my iPod. Now a few weeks ago the church was broken into and along with pastors laptop the perpetrator made off with my iPod. It has been a few weeks now and I admit I am starting to feel a sense of separation anxiety. Thankfully I still have my library of music, which I was careful to backup, but I still miss my good ole' scroll wheel. I sure hope the guilty party is enjoying my 4000 song library, especially the tracks of my kids singing and the sermons I had uploaded onto it.
Speaking of songs, I enjoyed taking the quiz that Waverly Rules posted that matches your taste in music with a celebrities personal playlist. Not sure why, but mine ended up being closely related to Nicole Kidmans (yikes). Well I thought it would be fun for those reading this to take a few minutes and put together what would be your ultimate playlist of favorite songs and post them for the rest of us to see. A persons playlist says a lot about themselves so think good and hard about it and post your favorite tunes.

Bummer.
I bet your cd's are secretly glad, I'm sure they have felt neglected. Break out some old stuff. Listened to Shaded Red lately?

Now there's a band I haven't thought of in forever. I went out to their website, but I don't think they've done anything for like 6 years.

Ultimate playlist - that would take more time than planning the wedding! I will have to start thinking about that.
I do hope you get the iPod soon, too. I'm tired of hearing about it. :-) Ha Ha!!!

oh... poor lost little ipod. maybe the perpetrator will listen to your sermons and feel guilty and get saved and repent and bring your ipod back.....
it could be a "tool".
I personally want an ipod now too! Especially since 3/4 of my kids have one and I don't!!!!
By the way, CRACK ME UP, that's what Emily wants for her birthday!

If the perp ends up listening to my sermons hopefully it's not while he's driving cause then he'll probably fall asleep and cause an accident

this is true... but then the cops will recover your ipod from the accident and you will get it back!

Good point. I guess being long winded might have it's perks after all.

Can't imagine they're getting a whole lot of use out of your playlist. :) Hey, and 8 comments and still no playlist? What's up with that?
*Anything that GINNY OWENS sings would be wonderful.
*Upbeat worship songs.
*Violin and symphony/orchestra music.
*60's music is the bomb!
*If We Are the Body
*The Cartoon Song
*Love will find a way (do you people remember that song? by Seal maybe? I haven't heard that in about forever).
*The Nutcracker
*Manheim Steamroller! They rule! (spell check that one!)
*I can only imagine
*Jazz - lots of trumpet!
*Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories....You say I only hear what I want to....LOVE it!
*A couple She Daisy songs maybe
*A couple Micheal Card songs.....
*Let's Go Down (Together) I don't even know if that's what it's called, but I thoroughly enjoy it! :) "We could write our names here in the mud, no one's around to see them. We could hang our shoes (insert ipod here if you'd rather) here in a tree, no one's around to steal them....We could chase our shadows around the lawn until we're both exhausted...."
*Uninvited
*Enya (spell check?)
*We Cry Holy.....
*A couple songs from Collective Soul
*Yackety Yack - don't talk back - LOVE IT!
*Disney songs -
*OH! The Main Street Electrical Parade! I could listen to that for days and days and weeks and months! As a matter of fact, I have. :)
*10,000 Miles - anything by the Proclaimers, baby!.....Dadalatda
*80's songs are always good....ahh, the days I first learned to harmonize.....*tear*
*"It's not having what you want...it's wanting what you've got" Soak up the sun, I think?
*And the one song that starts out like "doo be doo be doot doot doot......ahh hhh" No More I Love You's? I just like the first part, though.
*And now the nintendo a capella group, there - that was the best!
That's all my brain is going to come up with at midnight for ya'.
It's hard to listen to a bazillion different songs throughout your lifetime and pick your favorites. I can't even remember what I had to eat yesterday! lol
My husband's list would look a million times different than mine. Sad, but I don't listen to NEAR as much music as I used to. I love music. Good post! Maybe I'll go load up kazaa or something....what's a good program for that?

Hey guys! Check out my new iPod! It looks just like Bill's old one!
hahahaha j/k
At least the perp didn't mess with the falcon. You need to blog about that thing....and include pics.

Dude, if they would have horked the Falcon I think I would have had to go all vigilante on them. You know I've got secret moves from the government.

Beefy I love your playlist. Thanks for being the only one to actually read the whole blog and respond to it.

Ahh, what can I say. I aim to please. :) Maybe it's cause you were the only male to tell me your middle name.....what was it again......?
At 8:46 AM, Rev60 said…
Ok I'll post it one more time... my middle name is... Walter, but shhh... keep that quiet.

I'm sorry about the ipod. But here's my plan Bill, you and Nat get a babysitter for the kids some weekend in April, drive to Chicago on Saturday, we'll go out to dinner and get some Chicago style pizza (yeah, I'd bring it home, but it doesn't taste near as good), then we'll go to my kickin church on Sunday, and we'll finish it up with an afternoon at Lincoln Park Zoo, complete with a thorough viewing of the penguins and the awesome apes they have there. We could eat out at Ed Debevic's even to top off the weekend...

WoW! Now that sounds like a sweet weekend. That needs to happen ASAP. We'll start making the arrangements.
